i'm just going to copy and paste the description from the video here... the rat's name is plague because she is literally the plague... she carried the disease into europe via the silk road and shares it with all of the other rats she encounters. she is friends with doc (short for plague doctor), and he was made by his master from reanimated-and-sewn-together animal parts to find plague and kill her. but since the two became close friends and doc didn't kill her like he was supposed to, the disease spread unimpeded... uh oh.
